Commodity Merchant

Responsibilities

The Commodity Merchant position has responsibility for buying and selling grain, feed ingredients, or food ingredients. The merchant works within a group comprised of other commodity merchants and commodity merchant assistants that serve a specific market within the agriculture industry.

The commodity merchant works in a dynamic, quick-thinking, fast-paced environment that requires both collaborative and individual effort for success. The employee will be challenged daily to gather and analyze global, domestic, industry and company information and correlate that information into commodity and transportation trading and positioning opportunities.

Requirements

Excellent communication skills are required and the employee will have the opportunity to utilize a wide range of personal skills and technical tools.
