Responsibilities
The Grain Elevator Manager — known at Scoular as a Facility Business Manager — is accountable for developing and profitably implementing a business plan for a facility-based business. The position oversees all processes, including daily operations, logistics, safety, and facility and employee resources. The manager is required to solve problems and implement changes.
Requirements
Previous supervisory experience and a strong knowledge of facility operations will be helpful to individuals who work the fast paced environment of grain elevator management. Candidates should have a thorough understanding of grain markets and a working knowledge of rail freight logistics. Strong communication skills are needed to interact with employees, customers, and the community.
Grain Elevator Superintendent
Responsibilities
A person fulfilling the role of Superintendent is responsible for operating and maintaining a grain handling facility. The Superintendent oversees daily processing operations, performs an operational role, directs non-exempt laborers, ensures the safety of location personnel and enhances Scoular’s ability to operate its business.
Requirements
Candidates must have experience in the grain industry, elevator operations, and as a supervisor. Strong communication skills and initiative are needed.
