Ethanol
Plant Investment.
As a financial partner, Scoular provides financial strength and stability resulting from Scoular’s firm commitment to agriculture since its establishment in 1892. Presently, Scoular is invested in ethanol projects in Colorado and is open to investing in other plants in strategically-located markets.
Plant Development.
Our expertise in grain and feed supply chains coupled with our logistics network make us uniquely qualified to evaluate plant locations and quickly gain financial and operational support. We have established strong legal, financial and construction partnerships that help accelerate our development prospects when compared with many other developers.
In September 2006 construction will begin on a 100-million gallon ethanol plant in Plainview, Texas, utilizing an existing Scoular-owned grain-handling facility. We are actively researching other sites strategic to our existing businesses for the development of new ethanol capacity. We hope to develop at least three additional plants in the next two years.
