OMAHA, NE -- During the 81st annual Grain Elevator and Processing Society (GEAPS) Exchange in Wichita, KS, 29 Scoular facilities were recognized for completing calendar year 2009 without a lost-time injury or illness. Scoular’s Sidney, Nebraska facility received special recognition for its outstanding accomplishment of earning a GEAPS safety award for 21 consecutive years. A complete list of the award-winning locations is included below.

Nine other Scoular locations also completed 2009 without a lost-time injury or accident, but were not recognized because they were not enrolled in the GEAPS safety program last year. These locations include Clarksdale, MS; Neola, IA; Persia, IA; Paxton, NE; North Grant, NE; South Grant, NE; Hastings, IA; Oakland, IA; and Scoular's Jantzen facility in Madrid, NE.

"We take great pride in our long-standing tradition of safety at Scoular," said Gary Kearn, Scoular's Corporate Safety Manager. "We are very proud to receive recognition from GEAPS, not just for this past year, but for the past two decades."
