OMAHA, NE -The Scoular Company announced today that its subsidiary Gardenview BioEnergy, LLC will pursue the development of an independent 100-million-gallon-per-year ethanol plant in places other than the Sunflower Integrated Bioenergy Center in Finney County, Kansas.

Randy Hellerich, Scoular’s Director of Renewable Fuels Development, said, “The Sunflower Integrated Bioenergy Center is a great project, but the integrated nature of the center created unique project development challenges that we were unable to overcome to meet our desired construction timetable.”

Hellerich added, “We will continue to explore opportunities to expand Scoular’s participation in the renewable fuels market segment.”
