Scoular's Doug Grennan Elected to USSEC Board of Directors
Grennan to Serve on U.S. Soybean Export Council Board Through 2010

OMAHA, NE - Following a special election, Doug Grennan, Senior Manager with The Scoular Company will fill an open Exporter Class seat on the U.S. Soybean Export Council (USSEC) Board of Directors. Doug’s term will expire in August of 2010. Grennan brings an impressive knowledge of the soybean industry to the organization gained through his experience at Scoular and other agri-business organizations.

As Senior Manager of The Scoular Company’s International Container Trade Group, Grennan is responsible for merchandising containers of bulk agricultural products, including soybeans and soybean meal from North America to Pacific Rim destinations. Grennan joined The Scoular Company as a grain merchandiser in 1994 to merchandise agricultural commodities by truck and rail in the eastern United States. In addition to his Scoular responsibilities, Grennan served as a board member for the United States Export Council (USSEC) in 2007. Grennan graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a B.S. in Agricultural Economics and International trade.

Scoular exports agricultural commodities, including soybeans and soybean meal, in containers to Pacific Rim markets. The company owns and operates container loading operations in the U.S. and supports additional investments in business related infrastructure.

USSEC represents U.S. soybean producers, exporters and agricultural organizations, operating globally as the American Soybean Association-International Marketing through 125 agricultural experts working in more than 80 countries to create and sustain demand for U.S. soybeans. The activities of the U.S. Soybean Export Council to expand international markets for U.S. soybeans and soy products are made possible by producer checkoff dollars invested by the United Soybean Board and various State Soybean Councils, support from cooperating industry, and through the USDA's Foreign Agricultural Service investments provided through the American Soybean Association.
