MINNEAPOLIS, MN – The Scoular Company announced today that Shandong Sinoglory Foreign Trade Co., LTD., Scoular’s Chinese manufacturer of soy isolate, received a “Superior Rating” in a Food Safety Audit conducted by the American Institute of Bakers (AIB) International. The Institute’s mission is to protect the safety of the food supply chain and deliver high value technical and educational programs through rigorous independent inspections, superior audits and training. “Although we are very pleased that our Chinese manufacturer of soy isolate received the highest rating from AIB, we are not surprised by the achievement. We have many relationships within the Chinese marketplace, and we carefully selected Sinoglory to be our production partner based upon our first-hand knowledge of their plant’s operation and their commitment to quality. We continue to be impressed with Sinoglory’s ability to produce a product with consistent quality for our U.S. customers for whom we procure and warehouse product,” said Brian Martin, Supply Chain Manager for Scoular. “We also are excited about Sinoglory’s production of a new soy isolate product with low viscosity and low sodium, which is an excellent choice for our customers who produce powdered drinks,” said Martin. Sinoglory Export Manager Eric Zhang said, “We have worked diligently with Scoular to develop identity-preserved and other quality procedures and documentation specific to the needs of Scoular’s U.S. customers. We are looking forward to continuing our partnership with Scoular, developing additional specialized ingredient attributes for increased functionality in customer products.” Scoular offers a variety of soy isolates for use in several different applications, including nutritional powder drinks and supplements, bars, meats and meat analogs, baked goods and snacks, pasta, cereals, and soups and sauces. The Scoular Company is a century-old agribusiness company committed to buying, selling, storing, handling and transporting grain and other agricultural products for use in food, feed and renewable fuel markets worldwide. |
