OVERLAND PARK, KS - The Scoular Company announced today that it has loaded its first 110-car unit train at its Coolidge, Kansas facility. Scoular acquired the facility from Sullivan, Incorporated in March of this year and has been in the process of upgrading the facility to load and unload BNSF 110-car shuttle trains. Renovations of the facility are expected to be complete by December 1, 2005.

According to George Schieber, Scoular Vice President, “The upgrades to our facility create efficiencies that directly improve our ability to provide better service, more reliable shipments, higher quality grain and competitive prices to our wheat customers in Mexico and the western US.”

The facility has space for approximately two million bushels of grain, which Scoular will use to handle primarily wheat, milo and corn. Scoular’s Coolidge facility is operated under the leadership of general manager Jim Foltz and assistant manager Larry Fallwell.

Scoular is a century-old agribusiness company supplying grain and feed ingredients throughout North America.
