Glycerine

A highly versatile ingredient, glycerine can be used in numerous applications from gel caps to granola bars. Our sustainable glycerine is derived from Malaysian palm oil, so it is naturally Non-GMO and naturally a clean label solution.

MCT Oil

MCT Oil

Caprylic and capric fatty acids, of 8 and 10 carbon lengths, respectively, are connected to a glycerol backbone to form medium chain triglycerides. The resulting oil is sought after in the athletic world as some studies have shown that consumption of MCTs can increase weight loss due to excess calorie burning.

Soy based Natural Source Mixed Tocopherols

Natural mixed tocopherols (vitamin e), are natural antioxidants that have been isolated from edible vegetable oils. They are a widely used ingredient in foods and dietary supplements to help protect finished products from the damaging effects of oxidation. In doing so, they extend product shelf life and help prevent chemical reactions which can lead to undesirable changes in finished product flavor, odor, or color. Natural source mixed tocopherols contain naturally occurring mixtures of alpha, beta, gamma, and delta tocopherols. Their purpose in nature is to protect the oils and other essential lipids in living products such as seeds. These same natural properties can be used to protect foods and other products. Scoular offers natural source mixed tocopherol oil at levels of >50%, >70%, or >90% concentration; and mixed tocopherol powder at >30% concentration.

Soy based Natural Source Vitamin E

Natural source d-alpha tocopherol oil, or RRR-d-alpha tocopherol, is a natural source form of Vitamin E derived from edible vegetable oils. It is used as a source of Vitamin E in food and in dietary supplement applications such as softgel encapsulations. The acetate form of Vitamin E provides better long term stability where exposure to light or oxygen may be a concern, and the powder acetate form is used in tableting. The succinate form is widely used as a source of Vitamin E in dietary supplement applications such as tableting. Natural source d-alpha tocopherol is different from synthetic Vitamin E. Since synthetic Vitamin E is produced by chemical reactions from petrochemicals, it contains reaction products (stereoisomers) not normally found in nature. Stereoisomers are molecules that only differ in the orientation of their atoms, and, in certain cases, can make molecules less bioavailable to the human body. For this reason, natural source Vitamin E contains two times the Vitamin E activity of synthetic Vitamin E on an equivalent weight basis.
