Two-Million Bushel Facilities Constructed in Four Nebraska Towns
OMAHA, NE – The Scoular Company is pleased to announce the completion of four new Cover-All grain storage facilities to complement the company’s central and western Nebraska grain-handling network. Located in Holdrege, Grainton, Lamar and rural Grant, Nebraska, each of the storage facilities can store up to two million bushels of grain.
Mark Mossman, Senior Manager with The Scoular Company, said, “The construction of the new facilities furthers the company’s commitment to the Nebraska agriculture marketplace and, more specifically, our new facilities are well-positioned to provide a competitive market for local area producers. We also are excited about being able to dump large amounts of grain in a relatively short amount of time, particularly during harvest when our customers have better things to do than sit in line.”
Scoular will utilize the facilities to meet the corn demand of ethanol plants and feedlots in central and western Nebraska and eastern Colorado as well as to fuel Scoular’s vibrant shuttle train program in Venango, Nebraska.
Scoular operates 13 grain-handling facilities in Nebraska. Six of these facilities are served by the Nebraska, Kansas & Colorado Railway (NKCR), including Scoular locations at both the eastern and western ends of the NKCR line located respectively in Holdrege, Nebraska and Sterling, Colorado.
