NGFA Elects John Heck to Board of Directors, Executive Committee

OMAHA, NE–Scoular Senior Vice President John Heck was one of 18 industry leaders elected by members of the National Grain and Feed Association (NGFA) to serve on its 58-member Board of Directors during the organization’s 115th annual convention in March.
Established in 1896, the NGFA consists of more than 1,000-member companies from all sectors of the grain elevator, feed and feed ingredient, integrated livestock and poultry, grain processing, biofuels and exporting business that operate about 7,000 facilities nationwide and handle more than 70 percent of all U.S. grains and oilseeds.
The NGFA’s membership encompasses all sectors of the industry, including country, terminal and export elevators; feed manufacturers; cash grain and feed merchants; end users of grain and grain products, including processors, flour millers, and livestock and poultry integrators; commodity futures brokers and commission merchants; and allied industries.
Canadian and Mexican firms also are NGFA members, and use its Trade Rules and Arbitration System by specific reference in their contracts. The NGFA also consists of 26 affiliated state and regional grain and feed associations, as well as two international affiliated associations. It has strategic alliances with the North American Export Grain Association and Pet Food Institute.
