Event Raises $7,000 for MS
OMAHA, NE – The Scoular Company joined forces with Kansas State University in April to help the school’s third annual Ag-for-a-Cure Benefit Concert become a reality.
The concert that benefited the National Multiple Sclerosis Society was the final event of KSU’s annual Ag Fest celebration. The concert capped off a week of activities organized by the Agriculture Student Council, and drew more than 900 students and community members. The Scoular Company was one of eleven major sponsors for the event.
“Without the help of sponsors, this event would not be possible,” said Jacob Gouldie, College of Agriculture Student Council president. “Because of them, we’re able to bring in multiple artists.”
The Scoular Company concentrates its college recruiting efforts on a handful of campuses, including Kansas State. During the 2008-09 school year, Scoular recruited two K-State graduates to fill full-time commodity merchandising or facility management positions upon their completion of the company’s Business Manager Trainee program.
