About the Scoular Foundation
At The Scoular Company, we believe in giving back to our communities. The Scoular Foundation was established to put a portion of our net profits to work helping people, organizations and projects. We are committed to acting on the issues, needs and concerns of the communities where we are privileged to do business.

Counting on Scoular People
Where we work is where we live. Besides being employees, we are mothers, fathers, grandparents, teachers, Scout leaders, coaches, volunteers, church members and neighbors. We know that work life really can’t be separated from personal life, and we value our community relationships accordingly.

By supporting our local communities, The Scoular Foundation helps weave a thread that connects our business to our customers and to our own lives. We are encouraged to support local organizations and projects with our time and our talent. And the Foundation allocates a portion of its donations to our communities, backing up our personal commitment with financial resources.

How We Give
Scoular realizes that its employees have diverse talents and that local charities look to us for leadership and support. To support both our employees and their home communities, we look first to provide financial assistance to groups and organizations in which our employees are actively involved.

We earmark funds for local community giving and ask our employees to submit their requests to the Foundation. We don’t require any special form, but we are very interested in the personal stories our employees give us about their activities. Delivering meals; tutoring; painting houses; walking, riding and running in fundraisers … the activities are as diverse as our people.

Based on employee requests, funds are distributed directly to 501(c)(3) organizations that serve Scoular communities. Wherever you find us you’ll find us giving back, especially to organizations where our people are personally involved.

Where We Give
Scoular supports organizations and projects that have visible impact in our home communities. In the past year, we have supported more than 55 organizations in the following categories.
