Blood Meal

Blood meal is the ground dried blood of animals characterized by a high protein content and used for feeding livestock. We offer both ruminant and porcine blood meal.

Feather Meal

Feather meal is produced from poultry feathers by partially grinding them under elevated heat and pressure, and then grinding and drying hydrolyzed feathers. Feather meal is very high in protein and is used for animal feed.

Hemoglobin

Hemoglobin (pork/beef) is a highly digestible protein source used in animal feed. Hemoglobin powder is suited for poultry, pig, fish and pet food diets.

Pork Meat and Bone Meal

Pork meat and bone meal, or pork MBM, is made from pig carcasses. The meal is cooked, dehydrated, pressed and finely ground in a minimal amount of time to guarantee freshness. Pork MBM is a palatable and highly digestible protein.

Poultry Meal

Poultry meal is a palatable and highly digestible protein. It is processed from fresh, edible poultry carcasses. We can offer poultry meals with different protein and ash content, based on customer needs.

Turkey Meal

Collected daily and processed from fresh turkey offal, turkey meal is a palatable and highly digestible protein for today’s pet food diets, with uses also in animal feed. The meal is cooked, dehydrated, pressed and finely ground in a minimal amount of time to guarantee freshness.

Bakery Meal

Bakery meal is a mixture of breads, crackers, chips, cookies, snack foods, tortillas, cereals and related food byproducts that have been separated from nonedible material and then mixed, ground and dried. Feed rations have successfully incorporated bakery meal as high as 15 percent in poultry rations, 20 percent in swine rations, and 15 percent in dairy and beef cattle rations. It is a high energy feed ingredient that can replace corn in some rations, with a higher TME (True Metabolized Energy) value. If you have a different need, let us know. Bypass Fats

Bypass fat is a dietary fat that resists lipolysis and biohydrogenation in the rumen but gets digested in the lower digestive tract. It’s a processed dry fat that is easily mixed into animal feed. If you have a different need, let us know. We’d be happy to help you find a solution.

Corn Gluten

We offer corn gluten feed as a corn coproduct in animal feed for the livestock and animal feed manufacturing industries.

Corn Gluten Meal

Corn gluten meal is the byproduct of the wet-milling of corn for the production of starch or ethanol. Corn gluten meal is a good source of energy and protein and is often blended with other ingredients for use in livestock feed for cattle.

Corn Hominy

We offer corn hominy as a corn coproduct in animal feed for the livestock and animal feed manufacturing industries. Corn hominy is a byproduct from the manufacturing of pearl hominy, hominy grits or table meal from corn. Although it shares similarities with ground corn, it has slightly more energy and protein and is highly palatable for ruminate livestock such as cattle, as well as poultry, and is ideal for adding to grain mixtures or feed blends.

Corn Screenings

We offer corn screenings as a corn coproduct in animal feed for the livestock and animal feed manufacturing industries. Corn screenings are the entire kernel, broken, ground or fractured. They may contain incidental whole kernels and must consist of 70% or more of corn and may contain no more than 30% of admixture.

Steamflaked Corn

We offer steamflaked corn as a corn coproduct in animal feed for the livestock and animal feed manufacturing industries. Steamflaked corn is corn that has gone through a steam flaking process in which moisture and heat over time are added to soften the corn before passing through rolls, increasing the surface area of the grain, improving the starch digestibility and enhancing ruminant performance of the feed. Ideal for use with ruminate livestock such as cattle.

Cottonseed Meal

Cottonseed meal is a byproduct from the extraction of oil from whole cottonseed. It has a high protein value, is palatable for use in ruminate livestock such as cattle and can be used as a protein supplement to replace soybean meal in feed blends and mixtures.

Whole Cottonseed

Whole cottonseed is a good supplement to poor-quality grass hay, especially in dairy cows. It supplies both energy and protein in a single feed ingredient and does have a high fat content. It is a good add-in for feed blends and mixtures.

Brewers Grain

Brewers spent grains (BSGs), available wet or dry, are the byproduct of cereal grains (such as barley) from beer and malt product production. BSGs from brewing waste are a high-protein and high-fiber supplement for livestock and poultry feed.

Distillery Spent Grain

Distillery spent grains (primarily from corn, wheat and rye) are a coproduct of the distilling process in the spirits industry. Rich in protein, they are a suitable ingredient for animal feed.

Dried Distillers Grain (DDGS)

Scoular offers both corn DDGS (a coproduct of dry-milled ethanol production) and wheat DDGS (a coproduct of the distillation of alcohol and ethanol from wheat grain) as nutrient-rich ingredients for animal feed.

Wet Distillers Grain (WDGS)

A coproduct of ethanol production, WDGS, or wetcake, is a palatable feed ingredient suitable for local market livestock feed additive needs.

Canola Oil

Canola oil is the nonvolatile oil pressed from the seeds of the canola plant. Canola oil may be available in refined, bleached, deodorized and winterized options. Scoular’s Goodland crush facility produces super-degummed canola oil.

Distillers Corn Oil (DCO)

A byproduct of ethanol production from corn, distillers corn oil, or DCO, is used in biodiesel production and as an animal feed ingredient. DCO is a high-quality fat for animal feed, often used in poultry and swine diets.

Palm Oil

Palm oil is the nonvolatile oil pressed from the seeds of palm trees. Our palm oil is available in refined, bleached, deodorized and winterized options.

Poultry Fat

Poultry fat is a renewable feedstock option for biodiesel manufacturers.

Tallow

Tallow, or bovine tallow, a feedstock sourced from beef cattle, is an ingredient option for renewable fuel and biodiesel manufacturers. Beef tallow is a sustainable alternative to other fats and oil sources, and is used in animal feed diets for cattle, poultry, swine. It may also be suited for aqua and pet diets.

Feed Barley

Barley is a grain with high energy and protein used for feed of ruminate livestock, such as cattle. It can be used in growing and finishing diets or used in blends or feed mixtures.

Feed Wheat

Feed wheat is wheat that didn’t reach standards needed for milling and is ideal for use in animal feed diets. This feed-grade wheat is a palatable, digestible energy source for cattle, pigs and poultry.

Waxy Corn

Waxy corn is a variety of field corn that has a sticky texture when cooked due to its large amounts of amylopectin, giving it a high starch content and making it ideal for use in food production, especially corn starch. We offer identity-preserved, organic and non-GMO options.

Yellow Corn

We offer yellow corn as a feed grain for livestock. We offer identity-preserved, organic and non-GMO options. Yellow corn is a major source of starch and is the best suited for processing and feedstock for cattle and poultry and is available in bulk vessel, truck, rail or barge.

Alfalfa Meal

We can work with our grower network to ensure the alfalfa used in meal production is certified-organic for use in the livestock feed industry.

Beet Pulp

Beet pulp is the vegetable matter which remains after sugar is extracted from sliced sugar beets. As a bulk feed high in fiber, it is unique that its fiber is easily chewed and extremely digestible. It is supplied as either dried flakes or compressed pellets in feed. Beet pulp is also an ingredient used in pet food formulations.

Citrus Pulp

Citrus pulp is the solid residue that remains after fresh fruits are squeezed into juice. It’s dried to a moisture content of approximately 10%. Citrus pulp has above-average palatability for cattle and is also used in sheep feed and pet food manufacturing.

Soybean Hulls

We offer feed-grade soybean hulls for use feeding livestock. Soybean hulls are the byproduct of processing soybeans. Soybean hulls are a source of digestible fiber used in livestock feed, such as dairy cows and beef cattle.

Anchovy Meal

Anchovy meal is produced using byproducts of human consumption and trimmings from the canning industry.

Anchovy Oil

Our sustainably sourced anchovy oil is particularly rich in omega-3 fatty acids, including EPA and DHA. Additionally, due to their lower position in the food chain, anchovies tend to have fewer contaminants like mercury and PCBs.

Capelin Meal

Capelin meal is produced using byproducts of human consumption and trimmings from the fillet industry.

Catfish Meal

Catfish meal is produced from fresh catfish offal and trimmings from the fillet industry. Our catfish meal is primarily farmed in the United States.

Cod Liver Oil

Our cod liver oil provides both essential vitamins and beneficial fats, with its high levels of vitamins A and D and omega-3 fatty acids.

Farmed Salmon Oil

Our salmon oil is derived from fresh, sustainable salmon and is a great source of omega-3 fatty acids. Due to the consistent supply and it can be more cost-effective compared to oils from certain wild fish species. Produced sustainably, it reduces pressure on wild fish populations and minimizes environmental impact. Raised in a controlled environment, our salmon have lower levels of heavy metals like mercury and offer a consistent nutritional profile, often with higher levels of omega-6 fatty acids compared to wild salmon oil.

Hake Meal

Hake meal is produced from hake offal from the food industry, of which most holds a variety of sustainable certifications. We can offer hake meal that is produced from Patagonian waters, as well as locally sourced and produced in the United States.

Our hake oil is derived from sustainably sourced fresh hake and is a great source of omega-3 fatty acids, as well as vitamins A and D. Sourced from cold, deep waters, hake tends to have lower levels of contaminants like mercury and PCBs, making it a cleaner choice. Hake oil is also more affordable and milder in taste and odor compared to other fish oils, making it a cost-effective and palatable source of omega-3s.

Herring Meal

Herring meal is produced from fresh, whole herring and trimmings from fisheries and the canning industry.

Herring Oil

Our herring oil is derived from fresh herring and is a great source of sustainable omega-3 fatty acids with a balanced omega-3 to omega-6 ratio and is rich in vitamins A and D. Herring are sourced from colder waters and lower on the food chain, thus the oil they yield tends to have fewer contaminants like mercury and PCBs. Additionally, it has a milder taste and odor, making it more palatable for those sensitive to strong fishy flavors.

Mackerel Meal

Our sustainable mackerel meal and mackerel oil are MarinTrust and MSC-certified products, made from wild caught mackerel. Scoular’s mackerel meal is a high-protein option with superior palatability and a similar nutritional value to other popular fishmeals. It is a high-quality and cost-effective ingredient for pet food applications.

Mackerel Oil

Our mackerel oil is derived from fresh mackerel and is a rich source of omega-3 fatty acids, with concentrations often higher than in other fish oils. It also contains balanced omega-6 fatty acids and is a good source of vitamins A and D. Mackerel is sourced from cleaner, colder waters, thus the mackerel oil tends to have lower levels of contaminants like mercury and PCBs. While it has a stronger taste and odor, it provides essential fatty acids and phospholipids that enhance the bioavailability of the omega-3s.

Menhaden Meal

Menhaden meal is sourced from the pelagic fish in the Gulf of Mexico and Atlantic Ocean off the east coast of the United States.

Menhaden Oil

Our menhaden oil is derived from fresh menhaden and is a great source of omega-3 fatty acids. As small, oily fish that are low on the food chain, menhaden has lower levels of contaminants like mercury and PCBs. Menhaden comes from closely regulated fisheries in the United States.

Pollock Meal

Our pollock meal is mainly produced fresh from human consumption trimmings directly on vessel in the oceans off Alaska for the highest quality and freshness. All of our pollock meal comes from MSC-certified fisheries.

Salmon Meal

Salmon meal is produced from fresh salmon offal and trimmings from the fillet industry and is gently processed into high-quality meals.

Sardine Meal

Sardine meal is produced around the world in many different fishing zones and is derived from whole sardine fish, offal and trimmings from the canning industry. Our sardine meal, sourced from Mexico, is popular in the United States pet food market due to its palatability compared to other fishmeals.

Sardine Oil

Our sardine oil is derived from fresh sardines and offers a favorable balance of omega-3 to omega-6 fatty acids. It also contains essential fat-soluble vitamins A and D and minerals like calcium and phosphorus. Sardines, being small and low on the food chain, accumulate fewer contaminants like mercury and PCBs. They are considered a sustainable species, with well-managed fisheries ensuring long-term population health. Sardine oil has a relatively mild taste and odor, making it more palatable and is often more affordable than other fish oils, making it a cost-effective source of omega-3s.

Tilapia Meal

Tilapia meal is produced from the fresh tilapia offal and trimmings of the food industry and processed into meal.

Trout Meal

Our trout meal is responsibly sourced in the cold waters of Patagonia, as well as other regions. It is produced from fresh trout offal and trimmings from the fillet industry and gently processed into high-quality meal.

Tuna Meal

Tuna meal is produced using trimmings from the canning and fillet industries and is high in DHA omega-3. We can offer a very unique high-protein and low-ash tuna meal product.

Tuna Oil

Our tuna oil is derived from fresh tuna and is a great source of omega-3 fatty acids. Tuna oil is naturally higher in DHA versus EPA, making it a unique fish oil option.

Whitefish Meal

Whitefish meal is produced from the trimmings and offal of different types of ocean and farmed species, such as flounder, cod, halibut and pollock. Our whitefish meal includes offerings sourced from Alaska and the Pacific Northwest region of the United States.

Wild Alaskan Pollock Oil

Our wild Alaskan pollock oil is derived from fresh Alaskan pollock and is a great source of omega-3 fatty acids, with a balanced ratio of EPA and DHA. It is a rich source of vitamins A and D.

Pollock is sourced from cleaner, colder waters, thus the pollock oil has lower levels of contaminants like mercury and PCBs, making it a cleaner choice. Wild Alaskan Salmon Oil

Our wild Alaskan salmon oil is derived from fresh Alaskan salmon and is a balanced source of omega-3 fatty acids. It is also a rich source of vitamins A and D.

Alaskan salmon fisheries are some of the most sustainable in the world, with stringent management practices in place to ensure healthy fish populations and minimal environmental impact. Considering it’s wild-caught with a singular fishing season per year, the availability of this product is limited. Unlike many other fish oils, wild Alaskan salmon oil contains naturally occurring astaxanthin, a powerful antioxidant that gives the oil its distinctive reddish hue.

Canola Meal

Canola meal is the byproduct from the processing of canola seeds into oil. Canola meal has a good amino acid balance with especially high levels of methionine, cysteine and histidine and is used as a livestock feed especially with cattle.

Canola Meal Pellets

Canola meal pellets are a nutritious feed ingredient for livestock, providing essential amino acids. Scoular’s canola meal pellets are produced locally at our dual oilseed crush facility.

Soybean Meal

Soybean meal is the byproduct from the processing of soybean seeds into oil. Soybean meal has a good amino acid balance with especially high levels of lysine and is used as a livestock feed especially with cattle, pigs and poultry.

Sunflower Meal

We offer sunflower meal as a feed ingredient for livestock such as cattle. Sunflower meal is the byproduct from the processing of sunflower seeds into oil. Sunflower meal is higher in protein and is oil-rich, making it a good choice for use as a livestock feed especially with cattle.

Wheat Bran

Wheat bran is the outer layer of the wheat kernel and an excellent source of dietary fiber, particularly insoluble fiber.

Wheat Midds

Wheat midds, also know as wheat middlings, are the product of the wheat milling process that is not flour. These byproducts are high in protein and have moderate fat and starch content and are good for use in livestock feed, especially in feed blends and mixtures.
