As a solutions-driven company, we were curious about the challenges our dairy customers had when mixing feed rations on their farms. They told us about the inefficiencies, product shrink and trouble with inaccurate finished rations.
Together, we decided to come up with a solution. They wanted the ease of receiving feed commodities blended to their exact specification while maintaining control of the ingredients that make up the blends. We addressed both issues by building a new computerized feed blending facility in Jerome, Idaho, in 2015.
At the new facility, dairies have complete autonomy over the ingredients used in their mix and can make changes at any time. Plus, the state-of-the-art computer system in control of the blending delivers much more accurate blends than other feed facilities can provide.
