Program overview

The Pathways development program is a two-year early career experience designed for new college graduates, layered on top of a full-time entry-level role. Participants gain accelerated, broad-based learning through hands-on work, networking with leaders, peer connection, and exposure across Scoular’s businesses. Pathways is built to help early talent grow skills, expand perspective, and build a strong foundation for long-term careers.

Who you are: the ideal candidate

Education & Interest

You’re currently pursuing an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree (or higher) and are curious about how agriculture, supply chains, and global markets connect and operate.

Action-oriented

You’re comfortable in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and can work independently. You know how to prioritize, adapt, and keep moving when things change.

Collaborative

You enjoy working with others and building strong relationships. You communicate clearly and confidently—whether it’s over email, on the phone, or face-to-face.

You’re someone who asks questions and wants to understand the why behind the work, not just the task in front of you.

Specialized tracks

Choose a path that aligns with your interests and career goals. Each track offers unique challenges and opportunities for growth.

Merchandising & Origination

Work with producers, customers, and suppliers on commodity trading, contracts, and market analysis.

Facility operations

Support grain elevators and other operational sites. This includes hands-on exposure through facility rotations, especially during harvest season.

Finance and accounting

Support Scoular’s finance and accounting function with a focus on tax, internal controls, and audit-related work.

Information technology

Work on real systems and tools used by the company, while building technical skills and learning how technology supports trading, facilities, and supply chain activities.

Professional transformation

The program is a two-year immersive experience designed specifically for recent college graduates to bridge the gap between education and the professional world.

Each participant is paired with a dedicated mentor—an experienced Scoular professional who provides guidance, industry insights, and career support throughout the two-year journey.

Yes, we currently offer specialized tracks in Origination, Merchandising, Facility Operations and more. These tracks allow you to focus your development in areas that align with your career interests and Scoular's core business.

Your development doesn’t stop when the program ends. You’ll continue in your role and have access to the same learning, growth, and career development resources available to all Scoular employees, with ongoing support from leaders and peers as you continue to grow your career.

The Pathways program is open to students currently pursuing a degree with an anticipated graduation date within the next year. We’re especially interested in candidates who balance academics with real‑world experience—whether that’s through part‑time work, internships, campus involvement, athletics, or leadership roles.
