SCOTT CITY, Kan. (August 25, 2026) – Scott Cooperative Association will lease Scoular’s grain handling facilities in Oakley, Monument, and Winona, Kansas, the two companies announced today. The lease agreement is effective on Sept. 1, 2026.
The agreement allows Scott Cooperative, with facilities in western Kansas, to expand its network to the north. The three rail-served facilities will give the cooperative greater access to domestic and export markets.
“We look forward to expanding our footprint and developing new producer relationships,” said Jason Baker, the cooperative’s CEO. “We take great pride in our decades-long history of providing superior service to our member-owners.”
The lease further strengthens the partnership between Scoular and Scott Cooperative, who are the members of the LLC that owns the facilities in Selkirk and Pence, Kansas, operated by Scott Cooperative.
“Scott Cooperative’s leadership and employee base are strong advocates of advancing opportunities in rural Kansas,” said Derek Spears, director of operations for Scoular’s Grain Division. “Scoular is proud to partner with them.”
