Chief Legal & External Affairs Officer & Corporate Secretary
Megan serves as Chief Legal & External Affairs Officer, and Corporate Secretary, leading Scoular's Legal, Brand Marketing & Corporate Communications, and sustainability and ESG functions. She is also a member of Scoular's Board of Directors.
In her Legal role, Megan leads the team of lawyers and legal professionals who manage all legal, compliance, and legal risk matters for the company. She also leads the governance and management work for the company’s Board of Directors and its initiatives, and serves as the company’s Corporate Secretary. In her Brand Marketing & Corporate Communications leadership role, Megan leads the team of creative and communications professionals who support the company’s operations and service teams on the brand, marketing, internal and external communications, and public relations work, leading the strategy for the same in partnership with business partners.
In the fifteen years preceding her joining the leadership team at Scoular, Megan was a partner with an Am Law 100 law firm in its Food & Agribusiness unit focusing on compliance, labor and employment, and litigation matters, in addition to serving as the Vice President & Chief Counsel - Employment Law and Compliance at Conagra Brands for seven years, subsequent to serving two years in a Senior Counsel role at Conagra Brands. Megan was in private practice representing large public and private companies in employment, labor, and litigation matters for over six years prior to her relocation to Omaha in 2007 to begin her in-house career at Conagra Brands.
Megan graduated from the University of Missouri and Boston College Law School. She holds a certificate in Human Resources Management from Cornell University and is a Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional. Megan is also an NACD Governance Fellow.
